Mitchell A. Kantor
Principal
Mr. Kantor oversees all real estate and health care investments. Mr. Kantor has spent more than 45 years developing, acquiring, managing and selling commercial real estate and health care facilities. He continues to own and manage 10 independent and assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facilities totaling over 1,200 beds. Mr. Kantor earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Michigan State University. He previously served multiple terms as President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Jewish Home and Aging Services, and remains on the Finance Committee of Jewish Senior Living of Detroit. He was formerly a member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit and served in various capacities on other aging related committees. Mr. Kantor is a member of the California Association of Health Facilities, Arizona Health Care Association, Ohio Assisted Living Association, Assisted Living Federation of America, South Carolina Assisted Living Federation of America, American Seniors Housing Association and National Investment Center For the Seniors Housing & Care Industry.
Howard M. Dubin
Principal
Mr. Dubin oversees all real estate and health care investments. Previously, Mr. Dubin was the President of his own insurance brokerage agency and Vice President of a national agency. His clients included real estate investment trusts, real estate developers and health care facility owners. Over the past 50 years, he has been a seasoned entrepreneur investing in numerous commercial and residential real estate ventures and operating businesses throughout the United States. Mr. Dubin earned his Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, and attended Aetna Casualty Insurety Insurance School. He is a Licensed Insurance Counselor in the State of Michigan. He is a member, and former board member, of various charitable organizations, and a member of the National Investment Center For the Seniors Housing & Care Industry.
Bradley E. Dubin
Principal
Mr. Dubin is responsible for originating and acquiring commercial real estate and health care investments. He also oversees legal matters. Prior to Kandu, Mr. Dubin oversaw portfolio acquisitions for a Michigan / Florida based commercial real estate investment group. He previously worked with boutique Wall Street and premiere national law firm in New York City representing private and public institutions in a variety of intricate commercial, corporate and real estate disputes. Mr. Dubin attended the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the American Seniors Housing Association, and previously served, as Secretary, Treasurer and Audit Committee Chair, on the Executive Committee of the Executive Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the UCLA Health System. Mr. Dubin is a supporter of the Seniors Housing Political Action Committee (SH PAC) and the Alzheimer’s Association. He’s a frequent featured panelist at seniors housing conferences and has guest lectured in the business school at Cornell University regarding senior living. Mr. Dubin is a member of the Ohio Assisted Living Association, South Carolina Assisted Living Federation of America, Indiana Assisted Living Association, Argentum, National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry, New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association and International Council of Shopping Centers.
Scott M. Kantor
Principal
Mr. Kantor is responsible for overseeing operations of independent and assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facilities. Prior to joining Kandu, Mr. Kantor was a Senior Housing Specialist in Chicago for a national brokerage firm. Mr. Kantor earned his Bachelor of Science from University of Hartford. Mr. Kantor is a member of the Ohio Assisted Living Association, South Carolina Assisted Living Federation of America, Assisted Living Federation of America, American Seniors Housing Association and National Investment Center For the Seniors Housing & Care Industry. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the States of Illinois and Colorado. Mr. Kantor has completed various leadership courses from the UMBC Erickson School of Aging Studies, including Management and Operations of Seniors Housing and Care; Development of Seniors Housing and Care; and Leadership, Management & Organization.
Tony B. Kantor
Principal
Mr. Kantor is responsible for all financial matters including balance sheet management, raising capital and preparing monthly reports. Prior to joining Kandu, Mr. Kantor was an associate for a New York City bank with a $3 billion commercial real estate portfolio. His responsibilities included loan originations and portfolio management of credit facilities to developers and real estate investment trusts. Previously, Mr. Kantor worked for a private real estate investment group where he was a key member in the acquisition of several commercial real estate assets located throughout the midwest and southeastern United States. Mr. Kantor earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Masters of Science in Finance from Walsh College. Mr. Kantor is a member of the Ohio Assisted Living Association, South Carolina Assisted Living Federation of America, Assisted Living Federation of America, American Seniors Housing Association and National Investment Center For the Seniors Housing & Care Industry.
